1. Opportunity - Living on campus, I have seen a need for a conveniently located drug store! It is such a hassle for on campus students to take a bus to CVS or Walgreens simply to get one item. Students need an affordable place they can walk to when they need everyday items.
2. Solution - Chomp N' Run. UF's first on campus drug store. It offers a wide variety of products at a convenient location at affordable prices.
For some reason I wasn't able to get your video to play but I really like your opportunity and solution. Convenience stores is absolutely a need here at UF as there isn't a grocery store or convenient store within walking distance. A new CVS is opening off of SW 13th and potentially a new Publix may be built where the old McDonalds closed down. Overall I really like your venture concept to improve convenience. Here's the link to my blog if you'd like to check it out:
I really loved your idea and the way you conducted your elevator pitch! I am one of those people who does not have a car here, and when I do find myself out of necessities, the Pod just doesn't cut it. Not only do they lack a plethora of items- but what they do have is WAY overpriced. If Chomp N' Run could keep their prices competitive and their items effective, I could totally see this being very successful! They would indeed have to compete with the new CVS that's opening right under Social 28, but overall, I think it's a great idea. Although our ideas weren't incredibly similar, you can check out my elevator pitch here:
You have well capability of recognizing a need, as you have so "conveniently" (see what I did there?) recognized an opportunity close to all of us! Very creative name too!
How might you go about scouting a location to place this business? How would you market your business?
Also, while emphasizing affordability is great, also make sure your business would be earning a profit! Students are hoping for affordable prices, but they are also paying for convenience, so your store can charge for that benefit as well in it's price scheming.
Great job on the presentation of this as well! Keep up the good work! - Angela

I think that this is something that would be extremely useful for on-campus students who don't have a car with them at school. I honestly am very shocked that something like this doesn't already exist. There is a CVS opening on the bottom of the Social28 apartment complex which is, I believe, the closest location to campus. I am curious if this type of place would be able to have cheaper prices than the POD markets that already exist on campus. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed watching and love the idea!
